Respectful way of keeping his memory alive, I think it might be a kind of honorific thing he wouldn't mock or dismiss.
I wonder when Howard will demand a street be named after him?
I'm pretty sure he'd come up with something about "George Carlin Way". But yeah, it's a charming kind of honor; not cheesy or embarrassing.
I can't help but think that he would absolutely hate this.
Anything that pisses off the church is cool with me. I miss ol' Georgie..he was the best..
I was thinking the same thing when I read the thread title. He'd say this is fucktards worshiping fucktards...
He wasn't relevant enough for Gary to have on shortly before his death.
Carlin didn't get the show. Unlike Hobiee from Baywatch.
I bet he did an hour comedy set on how stupid it is to have streets named after famous people.
Obviously we'll never know, but it's not like some Hollywood street bullshit or having some lame comedy award named after him. One of the few things he showed any sentimentality about in his comedy and writing was the neighborhood he grew up in, I don't think he would hate being remembered there. But what the fuck do I know about it anyway.
