Interview starts at 2:30 with Allison Hope Weiner:

George Takei gets interviewed by Stern Show listener Allison Hope Weiner on his Howard Stern show role, decision to come out of the closet publicly, Artie Lange and dealing directly with homophobia.

George shares some very personal stories of his upbringing and his Japanese-American family’s internment during WWII. George’s new Japanese Interment musical titled Allegiance runs from Sept. 7 – Oct. 21, 2012 at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, CA.

George does owe a lot to Howard for his recent exposure in the last 6 years. My only issue is that the guy has been on the show dozens of times and the only thing Howard ever wants to talk with George about is gay sex.

George is more than just gay (not much more).

Yeah Howard is fascinated with that. Everyone goes on and on how Stern is the best interviewer but I disagree. With the psychoanalyzing and interrupting, not all guest interviews are radio gold.

UGh. I miss the george takei from the apprentace. The one who was confused, lost, and completely inept. Basically, exposed.

I saw one episode, one or two, all i remember was he was in charge of making a window display for MAcy's i think. And everyone hated him and he was clearly clueless. I thought Lou farringo was going to kill him.

Mariah Carey has been to Stern's home, George Takei has never even received an invite. Got milk?

    Truth!

The only Broadway play he's attended since childhood was the one a couple of weeks ago with his sexual-fantasy-man, John Stamos.
