Something tells me George has bailed on the Stern show. No appearances this year so far. Probably not worth his time to sit in for 2 days a week.

Howard bails on anyone he feels that compensated from other other work by being on the show

Unless George wants to come in for free, you won't be seeing him.

There's no money in the budget.

This will be one of the "budget cuts" because of the lawsuit :rolleye:

Regardless of the budget you would think Stern would throw an Apprentice show plug in to vote for George for all of his contributions to the show but nothing. Instead I hear one plug to vote for Martina and she's voted off right after her interview.

(Not to mention, of course, all the other Stern regulars on this season and long time guest Trump himself.)

No more freebies, if you want a plug on the HSS you will pay one way or another.

I personally feel like George has run his course. I mean it's kind of a one note joke.....say anything to the crazy, liberal 70 year old gay Japanese guy...he won't be offended.

I might be interpreting it incorrectly, but I felt kind of sorry for George, like he wasn't really in on the joke at times. He just loved the attention. As usual with later day Stern, he takes something that works in small doses and batters us over the head with it.

I'll disagree with you there. George was one of the few ingredients used (Fred drops aside) in quite small doses. But apparently that had more to do with money than discretion....
