Just we all knew, Ghostbusters all female shit-show isn't winning over audiences. Hollywood, ever the divisive, politically-correct assholes that they are thought women would come out in force but forgot that women don't like unfunny movies either. Anyway, dropping 57% in the second week means that officially, the movie is a failure.

    FROM DEADLINE:

    Ghostbusters
is not gonna call fall more than 60% as many predicted, but it will come close. The second weekend of the Sony hoped-for new franchise will drop between 55% and 57%. While that is not great, it’s not as scary as it could have been, meaning that audiences are still buying tickets (mid-week numbers weren’t bad). It will hit $100M eventually, but after this three-day, the reboot will be at $85M after two weekends in release. Kinda says it all, no?

We should be used to Indian titles coming out of nowhere by now to step into the Top Ten, and such was the case this weekend with the Indian-Tamil language gangster film Kabali. After a solid $2.7K Friday night performance in only 250 runs, it’s looking at a phenomenal $20K or more per screen average this weekend and a No. 8 spot.

That’s a snapshot with the No. 3, 4 and 5 spots very, very close so today and tonight should determine how it all shakes out. Here’s the chart:

    1). Star Trek Beyond(PAR), 3,928 theaters / $22.3M Fri. (includes $5.5M previews) / 3-day cume: $56M+ / Wk 1

    2). The Secret Life of Pets(ILL/UNI), 4,048 theaters (-333) / $8.6M Fri. (-43%) / 3-day cume: $28.5M to $29.1M(-43%) / Total cume: $260M / Wk 3

    3/4/5). Ice Age: Collision Course(FOX), 3,992 theaters / $7.6M Fri. (includes $850K previews) / 3-day cume: $20M to $21M+ / Wk 1

    Lights Out(WB/NL), 2,818 theaters / $9.1M Fri. (includes $1.8M previews) / 3-day cume: $20M to $21M+ / Wk 1

    Ghostbusters(SONY), 3,963 theaters / $6.15M Fri. (-64%) / 3-day cume: $20.8M(-56%) / Total cume: $84M to $85M / Wk 2

    6). Finding Dory(DIS), 2,576 theaters (-960) / $2M Fri. (-38%) / 3-day cume:$6.8M to $7M / Total cume: $459.9M / Wk 6

    7.) The Legend of Tarzan(WB), 2,844 theaters (-707) / $1.8M Fri. (-46%) / 3-day cume: $6M+ / Total cume: $114.5M / Wk 4

    8). Kabili(CGX), 250 theaters / $2.65K Fri. / Per screen average: $20K / 3-day cume: $5M / Wk 1

    9). Mike and David Need Wedding Dates(FOX), 2,137 theaters (-871) / $1.3M Fri. (-44%) / 3-day cume: $4.2M / Total cume: $40.2M / Wk 3

    10). The Infiltrator(BG), 1,537 theaters (-64) / $883K Fri. (-41%) / 3-day cume: $3.18M (-40%) / Total: $11.9M / Wk 2

People should be boycotting Star Trek because the new Star trek its not what Star Trek is supposed to be like.

Hollywood is so full of shit. They claim to be liberal but promote the most vile and pernicious images of black people. Why does Hollywood love black women who are fat or look like men when there are so many hot ones? I have nothing against Leslie Jones except that she's not funny and looks like a fat, ugly Dave Chapelle.

Okay more hot Mel B pics and Less-lee Jones

This is the result of having a shit concept, shit movie, over defensive director, and left wing PC media reviews trying to put lipstick on a pig. This movie got exactly what it deserved.

    It's worse than that.

When factoring in marketing costs — the price tag for promoting a summer tentpole globally can be upward of $150 million — Ghostbusters may have to earn $375 million to $400 million worldwide to break even for Sony and partner Village Roadshow Pictures. That means it needs to do sizable business overseas, since it could top out in the $130 million range domestically. (Sony insiders counter that the break-even number is $300 million.)

Not true. In many ways, it's better. And TOST has been mutated in spinoffs over the decades with good results. No one is replacing the original story with all women.

The thing is that Ghostbusters was just a movie that happened to become colossal. This movie is trying to proclaim its "colossalicity" before even debuting.
