A spontaneous Gilbert makes jokes about anything. The worst things anyone can think of. That will not fly on the Turk Edition of the Howard Stern Show.

That said I don't understand Gilbert's stand up show. I love it because I like the old comedic style, but most of those jokes were written in the 1920s-1950s. I imagine most people today would hate it. He's a more successful and relevant version of the Jokeman. He is so much more funny being spontaneous and shined brighter than just about anyone on the Stern show.

Get Gilbert for about an hour and a half every week on his Amazing Colossal Podcast. And also usually another 20 minutes or so on the spin-off mini podcast, Gilbert and Frank's Amazing Colossal Obsessions.

Better than anything Howie's done in ages....

I found this video last night of Gilbert at the Gathering of the Juggalo's in 2014. It's not the funniest set he has ever done, but I thought he handled the crowd of Juggalos pretty well.

@Muffler I was asked if I wanted to go to the Playhouse to see Gilbert too. Wound up not being able to change plans and it was a waste. Wish I had gone to Gilbert

Was the crowd more than 1/2 full? As of Thurs there were about 350 tix available.

In contrast Artie is there in November and is going to sell out

Remember when Gilbert would sit in on Robin's news and between Gilbert and Howard goofing around, Robin could barely get a word in or finish a story... Remember when the HSS was FUNNY...?

He is too funny to be on politically correct show like that. Why would you want him on it?
