Gilberts podcast are pretty cool. He's like an encyclopedia of Hollywood characters. And he's honest. That's the thing about stern. He's always dishonest. Always selling you an image that never was. He might get a lot out of his kiss ass guest but his constant dishonesty in his own life and goings on need to be exposed. Is there no fucking journalist that will take him on?

    Howard sucks an interviewer.

I don't know if you were an O&A fan but Jimmy Norton is pretty good. He is way better than Howard. Norton actually reads the books of the people coming in. He will even say, "I've gotten to page 189 but when you were a kid......"

What straight man thinks about cock as much as Howard. It is like he sees every male guest as a giant dick attached to a pair of eyes.

There is nothing as good as Frank Santopadre and Gilbert on Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast.
    Nothing!
Mandatory listening. Especially if you're a Pop-Cult fiend.

You can download it straight to your PC via https://soundcloud.com/gilbertgottfried

Nowhere near the calibre of Gilbert's deal but I highly recommend: Voss & Bonnie's My Wife Hates Me https://soundcloud.com/mywifehatesme

Obviously both shows are available via iTunes for your iDevices.

Gilbert's guests also happen to be crazy interesting. Older people who've live full lives are always gonna be great interviews. Tons of stories, not terribly PC, less likely to give a shit what they say and who they say it about, etc.

It's funny: when a 140-year-old Barbara Walter's sits down with a 90-year-old Howard Stern, all he'll have to say is "I sat in a studio for 50 years and asked a bunch of nobodies about their cocks."

Agree about Gilbert. I expected a zany show but it turns out Gilbert really is dedicated to giving a different view of Hollywood. Santopadre is the perfect partner for Gilbert. He knows his shit and is always prepared. Makes Hein look like the hack that he is. I love being able to hear the person being interviewed actually be able to finish a story or anecdote. Howard peppers guests with question after question while they struggle to get a word in. The interviews are all about Howard. My wish Gilbert's podcast was more than once a week.

Frank brings so much to the show ...I hope listeners realize how great he is. Gil & Frank are the best radio team in recent memory.
My favorite shows have been the ones with Drew Friedman and Robert Osborne.
Osborne had so much to share ... as did Bill Persky, Steve Cox, Tom Leopold, and Bob Zmuda.
Haven't had time to listen to the more recent ones.
For God's Snakes, people -listen to this show!
Nobody's getting Howard Stern money for this production of love.

Even Gary Busey was a good listen. He was far more lucid than I thought he was at this point. He had some interesting things to say. Alan Zweibel was good last week as well. Never heard of him but he has had quite a career. Typical Gilbert guest. Thats what I like about that show. It introduces listeners to people they've never heard of but we're part of some big Hollywood moments.

Also, the official feed from the producer (Sideshow) is at http://feeds.feedburner.com/GilbertGottfried so you don't need iTunes or SoundCloud or any intermediaries if you use any standard podcast client software. If podcasts were just a teensy little more easy to use outside of Apple's garden (if for example there were a stock Android podcatcher WITH an online directory) the medium would really take off in a bigger way. As it stands the non-Apple users are at a disadvantage, and the Apple users, as usual, are dependent on their single corporate teat.

Gilbert still seems a little amateurish to me in his "interview style" (he often seems to be reading prepared questions) but that's not an issue. The show and the guests rock, Gilbert is a surprisingly good host, and Santopadre is great. I can't figure out how they seamlessly intertwine old Hollywood legends and filthy comedy, but it works.

I've listened to every Gilbert show and can honestly say, there hasn't been a dud yet. The first thing I do every Monday is go listen to the new show posted. At first I only listened to the shows with guest I liked. They were so good that I wanted more and started listening to the shows with guest who had no name recognition with me. They turned out to be just as enjoyable (if not more so). Fascinating stories, uncensored, lots a laughs, and often an interesting insiders look at what went on in old Hollywood.

Gilbert allows his guest to talk, finish a story and take the floor and run with it. Frank (who is a walking encyclopedia of trivia) knows when to step in and when to keep quiet. He'll throw in a question that will get a guest to open up their vault of stories. He actually adds to the program unlike that cackling idiot Robin.

Worth a listen if you haven't tried it yet. Especially if you're a baby boomer who grew up in the '50s and '60s.

    Debate is over....
Howard is the worst interviewer ever!
-Long rambling questions that include the answer. Most of the time it is the wrong answer.
-Never lets a guest finish a fucking thought.
-He is always fishing for something to get HIS name in the news.
    -Howard interviewing Howard.
