Does anyone else feel like Howard's "generosity" with "perks", but stinginess with regular salary is heavily driven by his ego and his desire for control over every aspect of his employee's lives? He likes to be the cool guy hero. When he hosts that Christmas party or does something like send ETM to the Bunny Rahnch everyone treats him like GG Howard The Messiah and gushes about his generosity, but in the end if he really was truly a generous person wouldn't he be advocating for better wages and bonuses for staff & on air talent (ETM etc) in the first place? It's the oldest pimp tactic in the book: control the money, and dole it at your discretion so you can increase their dependence on you. Keep them broke so when they need money they have to come to you for it. If other people important to the show earn good pay and are not dependent on Howard's goodwill he loses power over them. He allows people like ETM, Wendy the Retard, and even his own coworkers to be exploited on the air, but any mention of ZoozaZoo gets the button.
