The subtle shift in GOP tenor on Rice could be the result of internal grumblings on how far to take party opposition. Democrats picked up extra seats in the election to maintain their narrow majority, making it that much harder for the remaining 45 Republicans to block the president's nominees.

One senior GOP Senate aide said Sunday that Republicans hadn't united against Rice and were not convinced that she was worth going after.

I don't think Obama will nominate Rice at this point. He doesn't want her getting grilled under oath. He's in a weird place now where it will look bad if he doesn't nominate her, but we shall see.

Also, stop blocking people. It's weak.

I-Mo, you just don't understand the etiquette of right-wing debate. Here, practice by countering this astute, well-reasoned, and erudite Conservative Neo-Tea-Party talking-point:

He will nominate Rice just to give the middle finger to the GOP.

    THIS!

Frankly I don't give a fuck if Rice is the Second Coming of Jesus and fully, unequivocally exonerated, I'd rather see this country burned to the ground and sent to Hell than to let Libtards control anything.
