Karmazin recently said he would do his best to prevent Liberty from gaining control of the company. He forgets that one of his (limited) options at this point is to not sell his stock; selling essentially making it easier for Liberty.
This makes me question whether or not Karmazin really had it all together. For someone who is viewed as a god by Sirius' faithful investors, he has shown to care very little about the welfare of these same investors. But then again, it is hard to look brilliant when the opposition is John Malone. Sadly for investors, if they didn't know who he was, they do now.

THE "NOL" in this refers to Net Operating Loss which is when a company has more in taxable deductions than it does taxable income.

Liberty sees Shitius/XM as simply a tax deduction, nothing more. Hilarious.

i think thats all it ever was: a quick in and out for the major shareholders and then a tax write-off for Liberty

Neither of these assholes Howard or Mel ever seemed to believe in the stock's (company's) potential appreciation sufficiiently enough not to unload whatever and wherever they could, flooding the market creating more supply than demand. If it turns out Howard is pissed at Mel for also unloading enough stock for Malone to seize, it's just another case of his clueless hypocrisy.

If Howard would not have sold his stock bonuses he would (almost) own SiriusXM.
Howard would have 20-40% of the stocks

now that the companies are essentially "joined", Malone wants to take control and unleash the full potential of the satellite technology that Martine Rothblatt foresaw when the company was born....sirius 4 birds in the air and 1 on the ground as a spare and XM has 5 flying with 3 powered up and broadcasting and 2 on "stand by" status, plus 1 on the ground as a spare....I remember cuckold speaking with martine a long time ago and the sats are only using a portion of their capabilities....pretty smart deal Malone made......plus he can afford to can the cuckold.....

That's all well & good, but we're talking about 80's technology. The content doesn't need to come from the sky (I'm sure the "on the road" truckers love it), but it's billion dollar space junk.

But what, specifically, would they want to do with the satellites? DirecTV, of course, already has a bunch, and they just use them for TV (and maybe Internet; it's been a while since I checked).

I nearly burst out laughing at that! :)

I love how Howard stated reduction in Sirius channels as a cost saving measure, but is still allowed to keep h101.
