surprised that so many blacks (over 60%) and hispanics (70%) are for gun control

the problem is you have kooks like diane feinstein who advocate total disarmament, and out of touch celebs who are the loudest voice in this thing. if you live in a gated community you don't have the same concerns as regular people. they should butt out of this imo....

When Pew Research center asks the question..."Should the U.S. government craft legislation that makes it harder for terrorists to get guns."..that number would be even higher. In this poll from 2010... They asked....

"What do you think is more important – to protect the right of Americans to own guns, OR to control gun ownership?" They asked this 6 years ago and even more people want more restrictions now. Because rich, organized gay humans are pissed...it will get done. We should outlaw all guns and go back to bow and arrow...or make bullets cost $150 each. imho

Well, they mistakenly think that gun control = less crime. Its a constant mantra within their communities.

They dont focus on individual responsibility, cultural violence or the causes of violent behavior. I guess its easier to focus on a tool.

I'm surprised that the % is so high among unmarried women. Theres just so much brainwashing out there.

The firearm is the great equalizer, especially for the weaker among us: women and the elderly.

The stat that says the most to me is urban-suburban-rural. Pretty clear the differences there.

Also, younger people, 18-29, significant difference.

Blacks and hispanics favor control because they have higher gun violence in these poorer neighborhoods. You have people frustrated and desperate in their poor conditions, and then add guns to the equation, the results are obvious.

I hear what you are saying.

But from their perspective: A violent person with no gun is going to be violent, get in fights, whatever. But give them a gun, somebody ends up dead. It's a big difference. Lives lost.

Liberal intellectuals in the northeast have brainwashed minorities into thinking having their constitutional rights is a bad thing

A violent person doesn't need a gun to be violent. And they can even kill more people without a gun

No, they think that guns and drugs are being poured into their communities to kill each other off. If you talk to them, which I doubt you do, they actually have a point.

in real life I am not against them
on the internet I don't see the point in bickering over it
but if the internet has a vote option I always pick banning them

    just for shenanigan purposes

this is how I spend my time

So the government can handle background checks of people coming from Syria, I assume using their extensive hall of records? :ufacepalm:

But the government is admittedly not able to handle background checks for "assault" weapons? The FBI met with the Orlando Muslim Terrorist twice and didnt seem too concerned. Ditto the San Bernadino Muslim Terrorists.

    That doesn't bother you?

I can never understand how African American people, a people who were brought here as slaves and had no way to defend themselves from tyranny ever consider giving up firearm rights.
