The gravy train I've been riding on over the last five years is about to derail. Now I have to think up some ideas for employment. My wife works full time and I take care of the kids. Since I have the kids my schedule is all fucked up. Over the last five years I'd occasionally pick up a second part time job, but the wife ended up being unhappy because I wasn't around when she was. So I'd eventually quit the part time job. Now that my current "full time" job is coming to an end, I need to do something. I was just looking into a title 5 septic inspection gig, but I need a year of experience before I can get my license. I had to go to debtors court last week and asked the sheriff if he knew of any jobs in his field, ie serving warrants and shit like that. He said he'd keep me in mind, but that job involves a drug test and I like my marijuana too much to quit.

Can anyone suggest a low effort, no boss, hacky type job in Massachusetts? I'll take courses and get licensed if it's necessary and possible.

There's a guy at my post office and they let him wear a name tag that just says "Dude." It's so cool.

I was a ups driver for 9 years before I quit five years ago. I never want to do anything like that again. I'm not looking to actually work and I definitely don't want a 9-5 job. I've been selling foreclosed properties over the last five years and they're cutting us off soon. Those were perfect for me. I'd occasionally drive to a property and do paperwork from home here and there.

I'd get you a job but you sound like a lazy druggie and I don't want my good name sullied by some shiftless layabout

I've thought about that. I drove a cab for a summer a few years ago. It's obviously tit and the money *can* be good. Uber would fit my schedule perfect, but the wear and tear on my vehicle makes me nervous. Plus I'm not sure I want drunks puking up all over my truck.

Close. I'm in my late 30's. I'm just waiting until my ups pension kicks in. Just twenty years to go.
I used to work hard and worked 1-2 jobs at a time from 13 on. I'm tired of kissing ass and dealing with bosses and work related bs. Selling REO'S was perfect.
I see plenty of useless people making a living off doing the bare minimum. Why can't I be one of them?

Driving never bothered me. For the REO'S I'd drive hours one way for a property.
I was a furniture repo man out of college. Sometimes I'd hide in the bushes waiting for people to get home or even chase them in my repo van. Maybe I could be a smut or insurance fraud investigator?
