On 9/8/14 I had a 'mass' removed from the palm of my left hand. Luckily the incision is healing well, pain is minor. Had stitches removed on Thursday and was able to use hand normally yesterday, with no dressing or bandage. I had been waiting on pathology results...told it was sent to the university for further consultation. Late Friday, my doctor called to tell me the mass is Angiomatoid Fibrous Histiocytoma, a very rare malignant tumor. Chances of spreading are small, but is a possibility. Reoccurrence in the same spot may happen. Being referred to an oncologist and will learn more soon. tldr; I has hand cancer.
