in 1900. Some pics I have never seen before.
sorry, my mind went right to this due to misleading thread tiltle...
I love looking at these old pics. Especially places I've been. It's so cool to see something that hasn't changed in a hundred years. I'm so glad the Nazis didn't need to bomb Paris.
I think they were supposed to burn it, but the one guy just couldn't bring himself to do it ....
Laser, you'd do a better job w/this than I:
A much simpler time.
Thanks for sharing.
That's really cool, Amish. Never saw that before. You post it. It's cool. "Paris" might be my last historical post. I'm running out of them.
Nice, great city.
Just plain awesome. A great city.
It looked pretty good after only one German conquering.
Thank you, made me recall the best years of my youth '63-66 in St. Germain-en-Laye overlooking Paris. I had no idea how lucky I was! Google street view allows me to re-visit from time to time.
View from the terrace, was more impressive back then without the modern tall buildings
Krauts left these shits everywhere, highly disgusting
Thanks for the great pictures LT !!
Looking at the pictures, its almost like being there. Job well done. L.T.
Blasphemy, History is forever, no not forever, but a very, very long time! You keep those photos rolling, some of the best posts are yours. Takes us to places and times we can't get to in our lives.
Although it's classic to see stuff in black and white, it is cool to see stuff in color. Like stepping back in time.
