Born July 6, 1946. The man who gave us one of the great characters in motion picture history, Marion "Cobra" Cobretti.

I kid, of course the character is Rocky Balboa. Congrats to Sly for coming full circle in his film career. He might be the only person nominated for an Academy award 39 years apart for playing the same character.

That first one was indeed a piece of awesomeness.

I remember hearing a story that he had to rent a tux in order to attend the Oscars in 1976 when Rocky won best picture.

Stallone got more ass back in the day than every Ladies Room seat at Dodgers Stadium.

I am actually surprised he is alive with all the steroids he put through his system during his lifetime. i figured he would have a heart the size of an whale's heart by now.

    A couple of Stallone misfires:

He turned down the role of Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop to take a starring role opposite Dolly Parton in Rhinestone

He turned down the role of John McClane in Die Hard because he wanted to make Rambo III
