I am one too.
Special thoughts go out to @knuckle_hedd, @Stew Nod and @HOLIC.
3 solid dads.
I'm not quite sure if any of the other losers who post here are dads, no offense.
On a personal note I'm quite sure this will be my last Fathers day with pops.
He just turned 80 and is not looking too well, also the stupid weigh machine keeps saying he's losing weight. Not good for 80 y/olds.
Happy Father's Day, guys.
Sorry for bringing this (so far) scintillating thread to a grinding halt.
At least he made it this far, though.
I miss our late night postings.
Yeah, me too. Working kind of put a halt to that. But my weekends are mostly free...so there's that.
He came to my house earlier tonight and helped me solve a break bleeding problem I have been fighting for like three weeks!
Love my Pops.
That's the American Dream in this new world, getting weekends off.
Thanks Wall Street. ;]
Mine died the day before his 57th birthday. Liver cancer. We didn't have the best relationship, as I'm sure you've read, but we got along okay. So I'm glad you get to have moments like that with him.
A baba baba Berg, Berg, Berg is the word...
people do the best they can
I really only work 4 days a week, so it's not that stressful, especially working the 10-2 am shift. Not many people come in.
He was a drunk who was unpredictable. Some nights he would be funny as hell, but there were other nights you didn't want to be around him. He was really into music (Beatles were his favorite band). Whe was into muscle cars, and apparently grew weed in his garage before he moved after my mom died. He was a Journeyman Millwright, according to his death certificate. I don't know much else, because he was a very private man.
No doubt, I feel lucky.
You got the actual song stuck in my head.
