To all that celebrate and those who just like getting fucked up enjoy the day and be safe!
Anfkid - Can you eat all the regular St. Patty's type foods?
And tomorrow Howard will bitch about parades.
no potatoes and no cabbage but all the corned beef i want. luckily ireland is famous for seafood so i usually make a really awesome salmon dish and soda bread today
i cheated last night and had french fries... first time in 8 months! it was glorious!
The Irish ruin another perfectly good day.
Because I'm not much of a drinker any longer, I only bought a sixer this morning after getting out of work. But I will enjoy it!
Happy Green Day, folks!
At least Howard USED to be against ALL parades. Soon, I expect to see him have his own float in the gay parade.
Perhaps BethO will be named Grand Mare in the Polish Princess Parade...
Yay! Soda bread!
There's also this special bread-type thing that they fry in a pan. It has a short name. I can't remember the name, but I remember the deliciousness.
I love the Irish. They're so unlike the Jews.
They really do have a parade for everything in New York.
I'll bitch about parades now! I'm working downtown today for probably 14 hours dealing with the drunken assholes that can't behave in civilized society. Drunk and having a good time is fine, and often amusing, but the assholes will be out in force as well. Ugh!
Everyone thinks they are a 'good drunk', but really I was always a fun drunk. I have never had a cop get pissed at me or tell me it was time to move along. Not once.
to you sir!
Believe or not I am extremely friendly, patient and polite at work. I do have my limits though and I'll guarantee those limits will be pushed today unfortunately. I hope it's all happy somewhat cooperative drunks but that's what I hoped for last year and golly was I disappointed.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'll share with you a touching tweet from Colin Quinn:

Happy St. Patrick's Day. I will celebrate with these words from W.B. Yeats. The Irish poet and mystic.
