At least it's Harrison Ford's ancient ass in this one and not Jaden Smith.

The movie ends with Harrison Ford realizing he is a replicant, where the hell are they going to go from there? :wtf:

Lol... Blade Runner is one of those legend films I guess I never grew to appreciate.

Put me in the "don't get it" crowd... even if I did wear Han Solo pants as a kid and enjoy a bit of nerd sci fi identity as an adult.

Me too. I've seen it a few times but don't understand the hype about it. It was okay and I remember the cool car, Rutger Hauer, And Olmos, but that's it.

So it'll be called "Blade with a Walker" this time?!!!
    (LOLs.)
Was transfixed by Daryl Hannah putting on black eye makeup with an airbrush at beginning of film, I recall.

If they stick to the book there's still plenty of material to work with. First, Tyrell, the creator of the replicants isn't really dead. Batty crushed the skull of Tyrell's replicant. The real Tyrell was in suspended animation. He had some terminal disease and had his replicants working on a cure. So Tyrell is still alive and making more replicants.

Second, the replicants had become so advanced that they were indistinguishable from humans. The void compf test wouldn't work on them so there are many more of them out there. Batty and the others Deckard killed were older models that were easily discovered.

And another story line from the book was that Earth had recently suffered a nuclear war and most of it was a wasteland ripe with radiation and freaks roaming around trying to survive sorta like Mad Max. So Ridley Scott could use that back drop for the story if he wanted.

Oh and people were leaving Earth to start lives on other planets so they could take Deckard into space hunting down the replicants that were off-world.

It's been a while since I read the book but there's still plenty of material there for another movie.

And Bladerunner is one of those films that is NOT for everyone. Which I think is a part of its appeal. The fact that's it's so unique. I'm curious to see if that aspect of the story will remain or if the studio will force Ridley Scott to make a simple action/adventure comic book movie.

Wait, I just read that he wasnt a replicant

Harrison Ford, who played Deckard in the film, has said that he did not think Deckard was a replicant, and also states he and the director Scott had discussions that ended in the agreement that the character was, in fact human.

I watched this movie more than once way back when, and I remember liking it a lot, but I'll be damned if I can recall any details of it now.
