My external hard drive is no longer working.
It is a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex
I just bought one from costco, and after 1 week it won't power on now. It's also a piece of shit seagate, and I'm so done with them.
What happened to yours? Hear clicking or anything?
fuck you Chicken Soda
Use one of these
How dare you
Are you sure it's a hardware problem? Maybe the software is a little screwy.
Or one of these
Spoiler: NSFW Floppy Dicks
Put it in the freezer overnight
Or in a bag of rice.
Put it in the oven
I can't imagine the weird shit on that drive.
That actually worked for me once several years ago, was able to throw it in an enclosure, recover what files i needed using another pc and tossed it afterwards.
i have one like that, same shit. broke
just stopped working and I have a shit ton of stuff on it
Charts and graphs I'll wager.
nobody has very valuable solutions in this thread
Just get the data from your backup and put it on a new hard drive.
After you turn it on, just press your ear against the hd, if you hear a hum and/or some kind of click then the power is working. If nothing, then try to remove it from the case and plug in directly to motherboard with sata cable.
