My ex-wife was a believer in this and begrudgingly I went to one with her once. Its all fake. The woman was not even close to anything. Said we were going to have a baby girl within the next year even though my ex wife couldn't have children(narrow uterus). Also went through a list of deceased men's names that she claimed were watching over us.. The names were so vague like "John, Michael, Joseph" could have been anyone.. Who doesn't know someone with those names? Lol but yet, the ex still believed everything she said. I always wondered why the "psychic" didn't tell me that my ex would wind up cheating on me with a Puerto Rican guy that works with her and I'd catch them making out at Applebees. Also still waiting for the headline "psychic wins lottery" in the news.

Does pay per minute consultations with Miss Cleo count? (and well worth taking out that second mortgage)

They're some of the lowest forms of life ever. Every one of them belong in prison. I'd love to see that cunt Theresa whatever her name is get the shit kicked out of her.

I had a client that swore up and down she saw and talked with the dead since she was little. This old lady didn't need the $ and I don't know why I believed her but I did. She charged me $2-3 hundy. I don't remember.
She gave me a reading that I secretly taped on a Walkman. She told me I was going to marry an NHL'er who is Russian. He was playing in Canada but we be close by in 2 years. Said I had ghost animals following me.
Never mentioned I had undiagnosed serious health problems and didn't warn me not to marry the asshole I ended up with.

So she told me that every night before I go to bed...think about meeting the hockey player and about the rest of the nonsense she told me..Not one thing she said happened or was even close.

She knew stuff about me ahead of time through friends that swore by her. I caught her doing it to me about another friend. I told her a bunch of crap that this sweet old lady promptly repeated to my friend at a reading.

And what are you gonna say. She was 100 years old.
I'm a fan of the Amazing Randi..I don't believe in anything now.

    F mutt

I'm on the fence with this. I want to believe but have seen several things that show they are fake.

I can provide two first hand data points:

A close relative of mine died young. Her parents went to one of the most reputable psychics in the world, George A. They paid thousands to have a private session. The parents told me he got nothing right and it was a disappointing experience.

On the upside, I have personal experience with someone who worked directly with another of the most famous international psychics - they used to have a weekly show on TV. I've asked that person I knew if they ever saw anything that would indicate fake preparation - and they said no, never.

So, the "cold reading" thing makes sense? That seems the best explanation.

Thirdly, recently I saw the Long Island Medium episode where she attended a make shift seance where a table moved. It looked completely fake.

Why do so many of these frauds come from Long Island?

Also - I don't understand how someone like the Long Island Medium be so cruel as to go out of their way to approach people and talk about their dead relatives. That would make her one of the cruelest people, and she doesn't appear to me that way. It would be easy just to say she's a crazy, greedy witch, but she doesn't seem that way.

    Maybe Sal knows better.

Only idiots believe in psychics, ghosts, or the super natural.

If it was real it would be everywhere and every psychic would either be rich or wandering around helping the helpless.

Nope they have a storefront that doubles as a brothel because they are lying scumbags preying on idiots and the desperate.

I recall seeing a special on Tina Turner once - she said she & her friend went to a fortune teller; she told Tina that her career was eventually going to take her to the top, while her husband was going to languish and be forgotten ....

No, but my mother, bless her, is really into them. - "It's just so much fun!" One guy she went to years ago tapes his "sessions" for his customers to take home. He said some...umm, weird things about me to my MOTHER.

I've always wanted to believe there was something out there. I have had weird experiences with things moving from place to place. I was looking for my sons pacifier (he had like four or five) and we couldn't find any. I was in his room and yelled "Whoever has my sons pacifiers better give them BACK! THEY ARE NOT YOURS!". I left the room and came back about 15 minutes later and smack in the middle of the floor was one of his pacifiers.

We have had other weird things happen like that.

At least with brothels, you can leave with a happy ending.
