It wasn't as entertaining as the Mahabharata.

It wasn't entertaining at all, really.

But I guess 'holy' books were not written for heathens like myself.

I like all the parts the bullshit fake Christian Republicans like to ignore

(Proverbs 14:31) Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

(Matthew 11:28) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

( John 14:27) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

(Mark 10:25) "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

(Hebrews 13:5) Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

(Mark 12:31) By The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these. ”

(Matthew 6:24) No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

(Colossions 3:12)Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience

(Matthew 25:45) "He will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

But at least they got the part in the Bible about abortion right. Wait where is that part again?

Bible comes from the Greek "biblos," which means "books. It's actually a collection of texts. Not a long work by a single author.

That you're referring to "it" as if it were one book and not an anthology of them shoves you didn't try very hard.

All good in the hood, but like a lot of older works, it's important to have some understanding of how and when and why it was written.

Shakespeare won't make much sense today, either, to the wrong audience.

    Wow.

I believe that is your first post I have seen of yours that was not quote farming.

    Great job!

I have plenty of anthologies on my shelves - can't recall ever calling a single volume 'books'. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

    Semantical arguments bore me.
