    And gone back?

I just recently switched over to this shit and was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the joy.

I'd rather live in a cave without electricity than go back to Comcast

I've been real happy with DirecTv since the mid-90's. The local cable choices is horrendous. Prolly going to Uverse at the new place since I don't think satellite reception is possible there. I'll know in a few days.

My sister has UVerse, she can't get satellite reception, she says customer service blows. I have to say, hands down Direct TV has the best customer service out there

I'd love to keep it but the new place is heavily treed in the direction I need. A tech is coming out on Wednesday to confirm. Uverse has to be better than the local shit system that's there now. Thanks for the heads up though.

My father had Cablevison switched to satellite and hated it and switched back, lucky for him the cable company paid his early cancellation fee which was like $400.

Now he has the triple play package, doesn't use internet much, but ti's still cheaper than what he was paying in cable TV, ATT for long distance and Verizon for local.

You have not experienced suck when it comes to cable until you had to live with Cablevision. I actually rejoiced when I moved to an area with Comcast. Cablevision had the worst channel lineups available, old technology, and the highest rates for the privilege of it all. They nickel and dimed for everything. I couldn't believe that my HBO with Comcast offered HBO On Demand for free instead of having to pay $4.95 a month additional.

I liked DirecTv when I had it. NFL package was da bomb, DVR was great, and the price, customer service and channels were great.

I have good old free tv and Netflix. And streaming off Hulu, channel sites and youtube makes it alright for $8 a month.

Jesus christ I hate Comcast. The service kicked ass but my bill kept going up every month and nobody could tell me why. They nickel and dime you to death.

Snow's not as much an issue as rain. Only occasionally will it build up on our dish enough to affect the signal. A hard rain will always fuck up the signal.

I HAD to switch to satellite. I'd blow the companies all up, if local cable was still an option for me.

The new DirecTV receiver/DVR we got last year still has some bugs in the software. I'm hoping there will be new updates soon. But I'll take a few glitches over cable.

They recently raised the price of Time Warner basic cable on me, so I kicked them to the curb and got a Roku 1 for $50 at Wal-Mart.
I'm loving it! I subscribed to Huluplus for $8 a month.
Plus, my buddy & cousin hooked up Netflix & HBOgo.

It's the way to go unless you can't live without live cable TV.

I also installed a roku app on my tablet which makes it a remote control. (easier searching with a keyboard)
And it plays mp3's & relays pics from your tablet or phone wirelessly to your TV/Stereo.

I am at my wit's end with Comcast. Unfortunately, FIOs is not available in my area so satellite is the only other game in town.

And I'm considering it. That's how bad Comcast is...and they don't give a shit...which makes me hate them even more.
