Being a grown man, I haven't participated in the regular viewing of cartoons since Grade school....... However, given the fact that so many man-boys & grossly immature females have populated the modern American landscape, the popularity of cartoon programming has seen significant growth for quite some time...
..The question is, if a side by side comparison of the "classic" & "modern" era were done, which product would reign supreme ???

These were in my regular viewing rotation during grade school...

All Star Superman on Netflix streaming is good. Nothing will surpass old school Looney Tunes or Disney animation imo.

You just can't beat Tom and Jerry for pure violent shenanigans. Itchy and Scratchy is a pretty good parody of the original.

My kid and I watch the original Loony Tunes all the time. It's pretty amazing how well they hold up after all these years. They were old when I was her age! Timeless.

I think Cartoon Network still airs them. The blu ray editions are really nice looking. They cleaned up the original film stock and they look great. Worth the money if you don't have them on DVD already.

I was born with a significant congenital aversion to middle aged hippies with menial jobs, zapped out gray hair, a fondness for "jam bands", and who have an affinity for narcotics that cause a progressive "dumbing down" of the synapses.... :(
