No spoilers, but last nights episode had me yelling at my TV and laughing at otherwise violent, dramatic scenes. This season is starting to get ponderous.

Supposedly Rick's crew is hard-core, and knows how to survive. They've been fighting zombies for years.

However, they still fail to check out buildings with any degree of thoroughness, and they'll readily jump into stupid situations without a backup plan.

And they also don't distract zombies until it's too late. Why not distract them from the outset?

Some pretty dumb rookie mistakes. Too many to count. It may have jumped this half season.

Nah, I still enjoy it and thought last nights episode was the strongest this season. All your observations and critiques are valid ones to be sure, but I know when I plop down to watch it that it's not Shakespeare. Hell, I just wanna see people get torn apart by zombies. :D

Still enjoying the show very much. I don't think it has jumped the shark.

I still really enjoy it as dumb zombie schlock....but....

    SPOILER (barely)

Two things that made no sense...they step into that pitch black building and I'm thinking....'where are the fucking flashlights, it's pitch black'...after they had been standing there for a bit they then turned on the flashlights.

Secondly, shoot the fucking window out of the spinning door. Either side....just shoot the fucking plexiglass out.

I pretty much had it with this show after an episode last season where the "zombie jeopardy" depicted a pack of walkers closing in on the good guys as they were trying to make their getaway in a car... and the rear of the car was stuck on a pile of walkers with the wheels spinning madly and blood and guts spewing every which way...
Some of the situations they get into are so asinine and could be avoided so easily by even the least experienced apocalypse survivor that it's laughable. Yes, yes, I know it's just a tv show, but at least try and make it logical and try not to insult the viewer's intelligence. You just know that every "supply run" is going to cost someone their life, despite all the seemingly good decisions they make.
As it's been pointed out before, why in the name of god don't these idiots carry two way radios? Why do the walkers possess such strength that they can tear apart a horse with their hands and teeth? Trying to rip the skin off the horse would be akin to trying to tear a phone book in half... Where do they find their ammunition? And why do they only run out of it when they need it the most? Why are some walkers quiet, and others snarl like beasts? If the zombies are so malodorous, why couldn't they smell the pack of them in that warehouse the minute they stepped into it in last night's episode? There are just too many scenes and situations which are set up just to showcase a gruesome death, and they never seem to run out of novel ways to accomplish this. The revolving door trap was the latest example.
I'll still watch the Walking Dead just to see where the story ultimately goes, but it is nowhere near the top of my "must pvr this" list...

The smell in the warehouse thing is a good point.

I think this is, by far, the best season since the first. The fact that the show still has truly disturbing moments is the sign of a great horror show (see Noah in the revolving door).

The warehouse could have been a cakewalk and death-free with a simple clearing of any walkers prior to shopping. And why did they need guns when they've been killing walkers with knives, crowbars, etc.?

I also wonder, in the first episode of the series Glen covered himself in goo to disguise his smell (and Carol in later seasons). Have they forgotten that technique?
