Got any apps you'd like to share?

I have a couple of really good ones. Both are VERY tiny, as far as file size goes. One I found courtesy of PCWorld magazine, the other is a little app I've probably used for 6-7 years.

    Okay here's the first:
A little app called Everything search engine. Searches files on your PC extremely fast. In Win 7 it may be a little faster than Windows search, but if you're running XP? Definitely get this. You won't regret it. (File size is 334kb PC & 272kb for portable.)

Now the next app, (I love this thing!) I've used for what seems forever.
Everyone knows how the PC bogs down after it's been up all day. Reboot? Never!
I used this on a daily used XP machine that ran for 3 1/2 months with no reboot or shutdown.
    Memturbo.
Now this is the first edition of it. It's not available anywhere anymore. All you can get now is their new fucked up version, which has become very bloated and slow. And now they want money, while this was freeware when it was released, and the new one just doesn't work like this tiny fucker.
    Fuck rebooting! Reclaim your RAM!
    Thank me later! :D

Everything is the shit. I installed it at our office and searches that used to take almost a minute are literally instantaneous.

I'm not a huge fan of running lots of services or programs in the background, so on my laptop I don't even have it constantly updating. When I need it, I load it up, it scans the drives in a couple of secs, and boom. I get what I want and turn ot right back off. I'm in, I'm out, I'm sleepin.

Its wasnt a torrent, its one I purchased and was sharing with my fellow salooners. It was a DL off their site for the free version and my serial, no torrent.

    Me either.
I let only the basics run in the background. Including the two apps I just posted. I run them when I need them.
Check out that little memturbo app I posted. (it doesn't run in the background either.)

But I can't think of any app I use more than that little memturbo app. I LOVE that fucking thing! Fuck rebooting! ☺☻

Did you ever go to http://www.blackviper.com/? He gives a complete rundown of Windows services, there purpose (or lack there of), and different modes to run them in. Default, Safe, Tweaked, and Bare Bones. I use it all the time to make sure Bill isn't slippin something new past me.

I also LOVE Winpatrol. http://www.winpatrol.com/ It takes a snapshot of your current setup and when you run it again, it will warn you of any changes, especially to startup items and services. I really like the little bugger. It's got a Scottish terrier for an icon, and it barks when something tries to change.

Yea, I've used blackviper's site for several years, but never Winpatrol. But I'll definitely check it out.

    1 - CCleaner - http://www.piriform.com/

Great app that cleans out 90% of all the shit PC's get. It's configurable to remove all the Windows 7 and XP temp files Windows Updates loves to hide. It's a great tool.

    2 - Revo Uninstaller - http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Nice uninstaller tool. It watches an app's uninstaller process and makes sure it removes all the files it drops.

    3 - AVG Antivirus - http://avg.com

    Free. Works. Updated. 'Nuff said

    4 - Sandboxie - http://www.sandboxie.com/

Let's say you download an app crack. Most of them have a virus or 20 inside. Run the exe in sandboxie and it's isolated to that section of memory. Can't bleed out and infect your host. NICE
