No, but Beth's closet is.
They wont start it ever. The objective of the NSAL to to raise money. They raise money to raise more money. As long as there is a cause to raise funds, they wont ever stop. The animoes are only used as props for their media campaigns. Unfortunately they exploit the volunteers who actually do hard work in caring for the animals. The dirty little secret is that they claim to be a "No Kill" shelter. While it's technically true that "They" don't euthanize, after a predetermined period of time, if an animal isn't adopted they send it off to the Town of North Hempstead animal shelter where they meet their final fate.
I did not know that
^ What Pigsaw said. If they were truly interested in an actual completion of their obnoxious cat hotel with executive offices then Wiggy could've already written a check or at least offered to match donations. How many years has she been "collecting donations" now? It's a publicity scam and Wiggy went along to give her something to do besides lay around all day waiting for Bradley Cooper premieres.
Instead, Wiggy and his blowup doll spend $10 mil on a state of the art panic room in the Florida mansion for Wiggy so he can doodle in it with less anxiety whenever his agoraphobia really flares up.
Beth's Yoda book barely outsold Lisa G's book.
They are no where near close to raising the the $7 million they want for that cat hotel.

And Howard used to laugh at Imus and his cancer ranch. At least the cancer ranch was real.
It's also correct that NSAL is a "kill elsewhere" shelter. They've got "no kill" all over their marketing but when an animal has overstayed it's welcome or the employees don't want to deal with it anymore, it's loaded into a boxcar and sent off to kitty and puppy auschwitz and melted down into keychains and lawn fertilizer.
I never thought about that! But it makes perfect sense. There's no way NASL has a 100% adoption rate for the animals they take in. I wonder what the percentage actually is and how long they wait before they give up.
It is pretty disingenuous to call yourself a "no kill" shelter if you're just handing off the dirty work to a third party.
So it's the bridge to nowhere in the pet world
The time they keep an animal varies greatly. The "cute" ones get adopted pretty quickly. They use the"Hard Luck" ones for media attention. They call the local news and tell them the story of this poor little dog or cat that was abused or thrown away (sound familiar?) and get all sorts of people wanting to adopt it. In the mean time people will make donations to the NSAL to help all the poor little doggies and kitties. Mo' Money, Mo' Money.
so billy joel gets ripped off once again what a sorry sap.
ha ha ha. the expansion needs expanding.
If you recall, when Billy's Mother died, he asked that donations be made in her name to "The Little Animal Shelter and Adoption Center" in Huntington NY and NOT the NSAL.
i was referring to the concert he put on...didnt all proceeds go to NSAL?
