Tryin' to make some front page drive-in news?
Isn't that some song from the 70's?
I don't listen to that much olden times music like that.
and points all her own sitting way up high
Way up firm and high
I listen to an equal amount of new music and old stuff. I don't like a lot of Bob Seger, but that's a great song. It gets slow and quiet at the end and he sings:
"I woke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off? I sat and wondered
Started humming a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves?
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With autumn closing in"
Isn't he the guy that did that song that Metallica re-did? Something about out on the highway and shit like that. I don't know. It's olden times.
My next 4 concerts:
All new music, cuz music got good again.
That was a good song. Shut up, faggots
Nice. I'm seeing Deafheaven again next month, and Hey Rosetta in November. I'm not a big concert goer any more because I've been to a fucking million and I don't like standing in line and standing in a crowd all night. A friend wants me to go to Riot Fest this month (big two-day outdoor fest).
This summer I saw The Pixies in a tiny club, The Constantines at Massey Hall, and Earl Sweatshirt.
I've never sat in a '60 Chevy.
I'm mad jelly. I want to see The Prodigy.
OMG, look at that cute poster with the maple leafs and bears. It's so Canadian.
I think we'd only go to day one. There's some good stuff on day two, but my buddy wants us to see Echo & The Bunnymen because we were big fans in high school and we've never seen them, and I'd like to see Drive Like Jehu, Thurston Moore and I guess The Dead Milkmen would be funny enough.
Hey KOC, I saw Bob in January. His voice is still like velvet. He encored with Night Moves.
J Geils opened for him and that was a heck of a show, too.
Besides Night Moves, my other favs are Trying to Live My Life Without You, Shame on the Moon, Fire Lake and Like A Rock. I know Like A Rock got effed out in the Chevy commercials, but it's still so powerful (47:26 in this YouTube.)
Hey D. I think I only really like Night Moves and Rock & Roll Never Forgets. I love the way it starts.
Well whatever you do, don't waste your time clicking on that YouTube I posted. It's all slow. I should've proof-listened to it.
On another note, have you ordered from ticketmaster when they make you select all the pics with steak, street signs, pickup trucks etc? I think all these pics look like a damn burrito.
all of them look better than @Bro 's burritos
what's up brace face?
I always think of this song around Memorial Day and Labor Day. To me it is the song to kick off summer, and because of this verse, the ideal one to wistfully wrap it up.
I always thought it was "poise" but I guess that goes to show that I may really be a prude after all
