Like going from being a chef to being a carpenter... Or going from being an IT guy to being a mechanic... Shit like that.

I did a few months ago buddy.

I spent about 20 years as a Union electrician working with my tools. It was the family trade. 3 years ago I started taking construction management classes in the evenings. I received my AA last May. Well this past January I left the field and put my tools aside and made it into the office as an Assistant Project Manger.

I'm in my mid 40s and this was a huge change, to me at least. It's really like I'm a 1st year apprentice again.

The whole process was a huge change. Like going back to community college in my 40s, but I worked hard, made the honors program and received my degree.

It was tough, working and going to school, but I'm so thankful I did it. And at times I can't believe I actually did it.

But so far I am so much happier going to work every day.

I was a practicing veterinarian for ten years then I GTFO and became a pharma rep in order to pay off all the debt I had gotten into after ten years of practicing.
I was out of debt in 4 years and I never looked back. I'm now a director of sales ops. The stress is through the roof but the money is great and allows me to take care of my elderly mom.

Back around Christmas I made a thread about going on a job interview and I thought I "blew" it. Cat girl I remember your name being brought up in that thread too... I think... Some one saying you had a bad interview too????

BTW, the people I interviewed for.... Thats who I am working for now. Guess I went better than I thought.

    Oh dude.
My interview. I was in Indianapolis with the flu and had stomach issues. I crapped my pants during the interview. No one knew...not even me until i went to the rest room afterwards.
I got the job, but I took a better gig back in jan.

I practiced medicine for 7 years until they found out that I wasn't licensed. Oops

I now work in IT and own my own business.
