Most everybody should have been fired at least once.

My father was given an ultimatum by Oreck in late 2002. He had to either let me go or they wouldn't renew his license. I was without a job for the entire year of 2003 and early 2004. I had a really bad coke habit and I hit rock bottom in 2003.

I recall that about your dad and the Oreck license, but I don't know what you did to make Oreck aware of the coke habit.

Or so that is what your dad told you.

Without a job and a bad coke habit? You must have been a hit at the truck stops.

    Yes.

I worked for Continental Airlines back in the 80s as ground crew loading bags and other things , I was one of the knuckleheads you see walking around under the plane. Anyway we were loading a plane and someone said "Hey go get the mail and get back and load it up NOW!! before the plane leaves , So i hop on a cart and boogie to the post office area and boogied back , I got near the plane and slowed down and when i got near it it wasn't stopping and i was standing on the brake. I guess it had bad brakes and no one told me. I finally stopped right about the time the corner of the mail cart put a 3x3 hole in the fuselage

They had to unload the passengers onto another plane , Patch the hole in the plane and fly it from Detroit to Houston TX and fix it, The manager said it was around a million in costs after all was said and done. He told me he didn't want to fire me because i was a good worker and the brake's were bad but Corporate sent the word for me to be the fall guy.
