I know Springsteen suck but drum loops, hip hop breaks, a little folk and some good old fashioned rock and roll. Pretty Ballsy and reasonably awesome for this stage in the mans career.

I remember the hoopla over The Rising. I checked it out. City In Ruins was the best song.

I watched this guy perform 3 songs off the new album last night. Jack Of All Trades was okay. The rest..Booey likes him so I'm not surprised.

The only whole album I really like by BS is Nebraska, which I've heard mentioned in regard to the new one. I'll give it a chance eventually.

I think it was supposed to be a demo for an E-Street Band album, but he decided to release it as is (?). I think it's very powerful stripped down; the band is just not quite my taste for rock, and it kinda overwhelms the songs sometimes. IMHO.

I may give it a listen, as I am curious about drum loops and hip hop breaks in a Springsteen song.

That said, the only album Ive ever really liked by him was

While this album was not my favorite...it was the perfect album for its time.

Sweetie almost went to Bonaroo that year. He paid for his ticket and had everything arranged with his boys and they were getting ready the evening before hitting the road to go buy some extra camping supplies.

Then the guy who owned the van had a girlfriend who flipped out on him and said he couldn't go to Bonaroo because she was afraid that he would screw around on her.

What a c-word. Sweetie was super-pissed and told the guy that not only did he have to pay him the price of the ticket, but he had to give him the ticket to scalp.

The guy acted uptight about it, but caved-in. After that, he never spoke to the guy ever again.

I remember the last time I was at bonnaroo i was thinking each part of the stage was breaking off into thin air, hovering, and slowly coming back together....I was seeing the entire world, or at least my perspective, in breathing, pulsating squares....."screwing around" was the last thing on my mind.

Exactly. I was jealous that my man was going to see a bunch of cool bands and be stoned/drunk off his ass while I had to work.

I wanted to be stoned off my ass with him. Infidelity was the furthest thing from my mind. That girl was a monster. He probably married her. :)

My days of experimenting with psychedelics are far behind me.

Though I would do Ecstasy again if I knew where it came from. That stuff is incredibly fun. :woot:
