some shitty steaks need sauce/marination. If you use any sauce on top cuts of steaks then I agree with you.
This is what I'm getting at. I pulled chuck steaks out of the freezer and they are not exactly tender or flavorful.
My dad likes it on pork chops.

Just sampled a little. Pork chops or chicken sounds like a plan. Stuff is too sweet for steak.

the chuck contains what we call Delmonico steaks, usually yields 2 steaks that are the beginning of ribeyes. they cost a lot less than ribeyes. There is local variation on this term though, any way Im trying to say certain chuck steaks are good and tender for grilling but the majority favor braising.
pork has little flavor in my opinion so I recommend a sauce or marination, unless you bread an fry them and then they're delicious.
