I wrecked the port, or whatever it is, in my laptop where I plug in the power cord. Do you have any idea how much it would cost to fix that or how difficult it is?? Hopefully my laptop will last long enough to read any response.:D Thanks!!

okay well.. I guess I shoved/pulled the powercord too many times and wrecked it inside. I have new cords. they are fine. It's the part I plug into that's the problem.

Actually the model number prolly isn't important, based on what you said about it being a loose connection. I'd be tempted to get some needle-nose pliers and gently, ever so slightly, squeeze the two pins like a millimeter closer together. But I'm guessing that might be more than you want to tackle...

Yeah, that is exactly what I have been doing. But at this point it doesn't hold.
Heinous I think it must have just one pin because it's like a speaker connection if you know what I mean? like a tube end

Ah, I see. The good news is it prolly just needs a 25 cent part. The bad news it they'll prolly say you have to but a new motherboard.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to HeinousMark again.

What does that mean by the way?

Seriously, if you know anyone who can do electronics and soldering, it's easy to fix, I almost guarantee. But most repair places are gonna try to milk your money. Get some estimates; it's not that uncommon a problem. Or if you're hawt and willing to fuck me, I'll drive to Dallas this afternoon and fix it for ya!!!:c
