This is the best festival lineup Ive ever seen
Im sure nobody here cares about this
That is a pretty crazy lineup.
Its a big fest, so there will be a lot more.
Like four or five of my top touring bands are represented, just in this initial lineup.
Some of my absolute favorites
Vulfpeck and Turkuaz are EASILY two of my up and coming funk faves.
White Denim is one of the best indie(ish) rock bands out there.
i do recognize tedeschi trucks band
I will see Tedeschi Trucks Band this year if it kills me.
I kinda like them more than Derek Trucks Band. They are more, i dont know how to describe it...fuller.?
I dont know if thats the best way to describe. Im rambling
Jesus, and Galactic and Brotherhood. Fuck yes
My Morning Jacket is one of the best lives shows out there...I'm not even a big fan of their studio stuff...holy shit they rock live...I try to catch them once a yr
FTR Brandi carlisle is SUPER over rated
They usually make a stop at Red Rocks every summer, and I try to make sure Im around for it
Yim Yames is a musica god
I saw them in Hoboken, with Dylan....left 5 minutes into Dylan's old tired azz.....After MMJ there was no way he could rate....LOpz
Take away Phish and that lineup is damn near perfect
We are in the golden era of festivals
My turn to ramble.
I ran in the same circles as Susan Tedeschi. We are the same age and grew up in adjacent small towns. A lot of her relatives, including one of my teachers lived in my town. They were well known because the family owned a convenience store chain that was everywhere. We have a lot of mutual friends including two brothers who are in a band that played at her high school reunion. Now they are in a typical cover band and imagine playing a high school reunion and Susan Fucking Tedeschi is there? Not only is she talented but she's married to one of the greatest slide guitarists in the world. Well not only did she show up, she got up and sang with them. It was the thrill of a lifetime for my hack musician friends.
Anyway, I'm sure Susan and I crossed paths many times throughout our years though I can't say I know her. I like to think I probably hooked up with her one drunken night. In fact, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
It's ok, you can invoke the name Derek Trucks.
What's your point?
I saw them a few weeks ago. Much different than Derek's stuff, but still way enjoyable.
Susan was wearing a skirt above the knees and was lookin good too
I was gonna take a piss, but Susan started singing Angel of Montgomery with only the organ player. She has the right amount of grit in her voice and was perfect
I saw them at Americanarama tour, where he played with Wilco and Dylan. It was right after Dylan released a killer album (Tempest). Still hurts to see live, though.
I had a huge boy/girl thing for Susan from age 18 until present.
