This isn't such a great re-enactment of the scene, but it includes Roenick. He's good.

i had NHL 94 for the Sega Genesis. the only thing shitty about that game was no fighting. i spent many hours mastering that game. i won 2 Stanley Cups.

i just had the two line pass offside off.

everything else was like the regular game, even did it the long way by playing 20 minute periods :c

The first version had too much fighting but that's why it was cool. You could be The Great One and start a fight. :D

Dude you have to play any hockey game with offsides and icing off otherwise they'd be boring as fuck and take forever. The real NHL should be that way too. :jj:

When Roenick was in Chicago he as an exciting player to watch. He was on the line with Michelle Goulet, Steve Larmer and defense was Chelios and Steve Smith. Every time they hit the ice you just new something was going to happen. Either a goal or one hell of a good hit.

As for the sega game, I found out, get a breakaway and upper glove side corner. As long as the guy you were using was on the first line you scored every time.

No the real NHL shouldn't. You need those rules, it causes plays to be made otherwise you would get the puck slapped back and forth with no stick to stick passing.

its funny to see Steve Smith's name in this thread. i had forgotten that he even spent time in Chicago. me, and most other hockey fans remember him for one thing..

Unfortunately this is what I remember Smitty most for

Domi nailed him and when Smitty went down it broke his leg. The injury cause what is called toe drop and it was what caused his career to end early. Domi was a bad ass, his and Probert's fights were legendary. I still have a shirt that reads, Give Blood, Fight Probert.

Get into a fight with a known fighter who is wearing a helmet and pads.

about 10 years ago I was riding in Texas and had a guy almost sideswipe me, I flip him off and he motions me to pull over so I did. I'm getting ready to take off my helmet (fucking Texas law) and he charges me before I could. I planted the top of the helmet right into his nose.

I thought it was fantastic when I saw it when it came out, but I was in my mid-20s and single -- I have a feeling it has aged a bit, but definitely worth a look

Vince Vaughn is way too skinny in it -- and Heather Graham shows up near the end

    It's money

Though this is horribly painful -- he's getting over a bad breakup, and calls up a girl he just got digits from at a bar :jj:
