Very cool. Reminds me a lot of Heavy Metal and Animatrix. It's interesting how cg has come full circle from looking very digital, to photorealistic, back to looking hand drawn.
If anyone hasn't checked out Animatrix, do it. Includes many different animation styles including a contribution from Peter Chung, the creator of Aeon Flux.
CGI in the right hands can be great.
@DarkFriday will like this
The animation is just as good but the colors are a little dark. It's from the 1940s I believe.
I thought this one from a couple of years ago was really really good.
Has that classic Disney magic to it, too.
Reminds me of this bit from 'Liquid Television' in the '90s.
What happened, MTV? You used to be cool.
That was pretty badass.
Love the boom animation took in the 90s and how it's still getting better and better
Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Miyazaki, mmmm
Too bad shows like Family Guy keep taking twenty steps back when it comes to the craft
Never liked the anime style much, although cowboy bebop was pretty cool. I watched the entire Dragon Ball Z series as a kid, too. That shit was great.
Ren & Stimpy... Now THAT was cool.
I remember Really liking the different takes of people's style of animation. Good stuff.
damn that was cool as hell
i love cartoons
Any of you guys ever go to the "Spike & Mike Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation"? Was a pretty good time in Santa Monica in the late '90s.
I hate the way most cartoons look now. They kinda look like adobe flash movies.
Best cartoon ever was Tom & Jerry. Domestic violence FTW
I did when I saw it two years ago
That's nothing. Check this out.
I still prefer the look of the traditional animation that Disney did during their renaissance period (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, etc.)
