Wait, which one is Beth? The giraffe or the camel?
When I first saw this thread I thought it was real. But when I first saw this commercial about a week ago I did think of Beth
the creators of that are big fans, big fans
I heard wiggy is consulting his attorneys to investigate possible "likeness" licensing infringement violations..
Horse & it's natural companion in the wild, an ostrich
I thought that too but I couldn't remember what the product was
Actually, that would be pelican.
The ostrich looks like either Howard or Ralph in drag, while the giraffe looks like Beth, but needs a screechier voice. And, are they cruising for male or female companionship? (It's hard to tell.)
Seems kinda tacky to bring flavoring concentrate into a bar, as I'm sure the house would want to make money by selling the stuff, themselves. (Bringing in a flask of alcohol, to bring watered-down drinks back to near-normal strength, on the other hand, is almost required in some bars.)
The camel, that giraffe is too hot to be Beth.
I'd assumed this was just another instance where I didn't know what you were talking about, but then I actually watched the clip of that silly movie.
I'd thought you were referring to the lotion/body spray ad, just above Pelican Stern's head, which appears to be Hangul (Korean). I thought it was an odd sign to display in Chinatown.
For the insanely curious, the Beth/Howard pic (from post #11) is (according to the wife's Google phone) from United Health Pharmacy, 4 Elizabeth St. in NYC.
Pretty good likeness.
It was ment to be.
HA! I only sawer it once and didn't realize that the Bethorse was talking to a female Ostrich. So whatever ad agency created this ARE big fans!!!
I've owned a few bars here in NYC thru the yrs
and booze is never actually watered down
what is done is ....called the switch ....replacing expensive
stuff eg. Johnny Walker with a lesser bar scotch etc etc
to the more expensive bottle ...no one is able to tell the difference
90% of drink orders are 4 mixed or with water anyway.
Somebody orders a good scotch by name neat
he gets it 100% of the time ........few actually know
