    An enamel cast iron soup pot
    A large stainless stock pot
    A cast iron skillet or grill pan
    Then a set of 80/20 stainless pans with interchangeable covers--Al Clad is good

    I knew Mlaw would treat this in a serious mannah...

    Is it true that within the non-stick world, the ceramic non-stick is the preferred material? I am in the midst of buying a set of 80/20 stainless pots,pans etc. but how do they do with a below average cook such as myself and food sticking to them, would you say?

    10" Cast iron skillet is my go to pan but I use non-stick for omelettes/eggs.
    I use stainless steel pans for searing and sauteing.

    I just bought the emeril lagasse stainless steel pans with the copper band on the bottom. They seem pretty nice.

    Is the hard anodized aluminum just no good or what? I have a couple older Calphalon saute pans that always work well for me...
