I'm tired of running. Anyone have any good workouts using a backyard pool? I want to do 30 - 60 minutes at most in the morning.

    :snicker:

Depending how big it is, I would go with weighted runs. Works the body to now end.

It's about 30 feet long. 6 feet deep at the deepest spot.

Is a "weighted run" a swimming term or should I just put some ankle weights on and run back and forth in the low end?

I get sick of the running slog too, however I don't go no pool. Plyometric workouts can be intense if your knees are solid.

Yeah the water obviously already adds good resistance for a way better workout and the ankle weights will add more if it gets too easy as you go on. It's a solid workout.

Just be safe. Get too tired...get right out.

Try diving in with a couple of cinder blocks strapped to your legs.
    Really works the gluts!

Haha. Obviously, but for how long? How often? Are there other aquatic exercises to mix things up?

Someone wouldn't walk into a gym for the first time and be told simply "lift".
