A real estate broker visiting from Los Angeles was busted in Chelsea for drunkenly stealing a taxi after a wild evening of drinking with friends, officials said Wednesday. Police said Kinga Tabares, 27, a broker for Douglas Elliman, was caught behind the wheel of a yellow Toyota taxi at 26th St. and Third Ave. about 12:30 a.m. Friday. The cab driver told cops that Tabares has been a passenger in his cab. “The defendant got out of the backseat of the taxicab and got into the driver’s seat and drove the taxicab away,” according to court papers. When cops caught up with her she reeked of alcohol, had slurred speech and threw up, prosecutors said.
