Finished the outside of the house last weekend, and we're getting our tree tonight. :cheer:

I just went out and bought a new spiral tree for outside to replace my ghetto half lit spiral tree.

Fake trees rule. Yeah the fresh pine smell is nice but sweeping up the needles and throwing it out (when I was younger I would go behind apartment buildings on cold, dry days looking for piles of trees to set on fire...good times) is a pain in the ass. With a fake tree you can leave most of the lights/ornaments on it and just shove it in a closet after Christmas.

This is the 1st year i have had a real tree. I was always set on the fake ones cause thats what i was brought up with and plus the thought of the mess almost gave me a heart attack (mild case of OCD, LOL) But my partner insisted we get a real one so thought we could give it a go this year

I put up just enough so the neighbors don't think I'm a scrooge.

I always buy a real tree, then on New Years we go camping in the desert and everyone brings their trees out and we make a bon fire with them and jump the flames on our motor sickles.

...makes a "healthy, happy New Year" more of an achievement, I suppose.

Just put up my airblown 10 foot white trash Santa in the front yard. The neighbors only put out white, tasteful Xmas lights. I put up anything. The flashier the better. They hate it.

There was a time when you might find a .177" hole in that if I was your neighbor.

    (I've matured since then.)

Nothing a little tape wouldn't fix. :jj: It's the deluxe lighted version that blares out distorted holiday music too!

    :jj:

That's the only other good thing about it as far as I'm concerned - the tree is perfect. Well with the top I mean :D
