It's only a comfortable 75 degrees here in Yonkers.
You just described me.
My grandparents never had air conditioning for the summer heat. They did have 2 Adirondack chairs under a big oak tree and they would sit in the shade, enjoy the breeze and drink iced tea.
I consider it the lost art of shade sitting.
They drank. Alcohol consumption was a hell of a lot higher 100-150 years ago.
And I don't have AC, but I live near Seattle. Where it's supposed to have cool summer weather, but not the last 3-4 years. Thinking of spending the money and getting the upgrade after all this.
This is what caused slavery.
it was hot.
Who's laughing now?
I see that here in AZ in 100 + heat.
trying to get a extra mile per gallon.
I was thinking the same thing. I know Florida south Florida didn't get popular until AC was invented but the Seminole Indians lived here and I can't imagine how they could survive this heat and humidity. Was almost 90 degrees in my bedroom when the power went out.
Yes, they caugh an 89 degree breeze in the shade with full humidity. How refreshing
Fuck that. When I have to deal with other humans in the house, 73 is comfortable if I'm doing nothing, 74 is borderline, 75 and I'm sweating.
Modern medicine and conveniences have allowed weak people to survive and breed.
Before the 20th century, they just died before breeding and the strong survived.
Strangely moving and sad movie. It was hard to get out of my head for a long time. Loved it
Ummm...those are broke-ass mofo's who can't afford to fix their AC.
Today, every retard gets to live.
You mean that New York retirees would have stayed in New York?
We didn't have air conditioning growing up.
But, we always had a pool
My parents still don't have air conditioning.
It's literally 95 degrees in my living room right now.
I have wet towels covering my body and two box fans blowing on me.
My saving grace is that I haven't taken my shutters down yet so that the sun can't shine in during the day.
It would probably be at least 10 degrees hotter in here without the shutters being up.
Chest cold? Did Nana give you a Vic's rub?
Don't wear clothes and seek shade. Easy Peasy.
