instead of Christmas? never been a big fan of that. whats your take?
Like, write it? Or actually SAY it?
I don't mind
well, i do
It takes the "Christ" out of Christmas. Big no no in my book.
You know that "X" is actually an old greek symbol for Christ, right? Derived from the Greek word for Christ?
well, i say leave CHRIST in it
who gives a fuck?
the "X" comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Χριστός which comes into English as "Christ."
The new term "Holiday Giving Tree" had me the other day
Shiv does not know anything.
X = Chi in greek, its just a letter not the word for Christ
if we were on SB.com, I would have a lot more to say about this...
If there wasnt such a long historical precedent for its use it would annoy me
I want to kick them in the nuts or twat.
I don't give a fuck. Oh Xmas tree, Oh Xmas tree, your leaves are so unchanging.
Yes, but the first letter then became the graphic symbol for Christ....regardless, this dates back to the 1500's; it has nothing to do with political correctness.
