lets assume we're talking ny strip.
How do you take it?
Medium Rare is perfection.
I used to always say medium but now Medium in most places including the one I had this morning is still moving so I switched to medium well.
People who eat steak got nothing going on.
That looks delicious!
Front of my pants.
I pull it off the grill at 155. Well done. Just.
Rare is the only way to eat red meat. I order blue at a restaurant and it's always what I call rare.
Am I the only one that prefers it different at different times? Sometimes I like it bloody, sometime I feel like well done. Mood.
Rare or Medium/rare... depending on the quality.
Medium rare is the only way to go.
This makes me a little tingly inside.
Once or twice a year, I can also enjoy the hell out of Steak Tartar.
Raw beef with raw eggs on top of it with spices. Super intense but very delicious if you're the kind of person who appreciates these kind of dishes.
Last night's dinner, on the grill, ny strip, medium rare, asparagus broiled with garlic, salt and Parmesan cheese, baked potato, butter, and sour cream. Delicious.
Rub with garlic. Salt, then sear both sides on a screaming hot iron skillet (count to 10 on the one side, flip and to go the oven). 4 minutes per side (adjust for thickness of the cut) in a 500 degree oven in the skillet. Disconnect or put a damp towel over the smoke detector in the house. There will be smoke. Tent with foil and serve with creamed spinach.
