Now taking bets on when and how Howard and agt decide to part ways.

Id give it until January, but only because NBC will want to wait until ramping up for the 2013 season so that they can start generating buzz.

We all know that NBC will take the high road and say that "Howard and NBC just couldn't reach a decision", but what will Howard's delusional spin be?

Im going with "they wouldn't listen to me and my great big notebook full of ideas, robin... Robin?"

    Thoughts?

From what I remember Howard saying, it was the head of Reality Television at NBC (I think that was his title), Paul Telegdy that was willing to move heaven and earth to get Stern. Apparently he has been a superfan al la Bobo and Maryanne for many years.

Combining that with the fact that Jason, a Producer at Agt, saying that approximately 250 people who had been with the show for six years lost their jobs in California....I'm thinking they are not going to give up on him so quickly.

So....I fear that if there are ANY of us left that ever listen to the show....we'll have another season of an AGT informercial.

He should walk away now if radio is still his bread and butter. That dog act won for God's sake and the show takes away from his reputation with his core radio audience. I don't know but maybe it would be better if the Earth Harp or comedian won. Although if he has made the decision to walk away from radio then $15 million a season is pretty awesome, he will still stay in the spotlight and not have to wake up early anymore. If AGT is interested in keeping him then his days on radio are over soon.

He will come back next season. They will do anything to get him back. If they don't, they're all going to get fired for this debacle. The easiest way to cover up the mistake is to prolong the mistake.

We already know Howard's claim several weeks ago that he had already been asked back because AGT needed a decision right away was a lie. I wouldn't be surprised if he had something written into his contract that allowed him to make any announcements about his future with the show and prevented NBC/AGT from making any negative statements about him. He spent most of History of Howard whining about people trying to make him "look bad" by saying it was their decision to cancel his TV shows.

I think the bigger question is how long until he finda a way to replace Sharon with Beth, Robin, or some other yenta who will take his side like Joan.

Unfortunately we will probably have to succumb to some long, drawn out contract negogiations with him and AGT on his very own airways, just like when his radio contracts are up. "I'm leaving, Robin, I swear it!". Hey, he needs a few hours to fill, what else does he got? All he has is Fred & Benjy in the studio now, it's like SIRIUS SURVIVOR at this point. Who's going to be last man standing?

As soon as AGT refuses to only air the show once a week and to air it from Howie's back porch.

I'll go one step further, not only will Howard not be back, I think agt is done. The show will get cancelled. Howard will accept no blame of course.

That is a possibility. However if the show does come back, I am willing to bet Howard comes back with it.

Hell take a pay cut, then say it wasn't a pay cut, its the same money for less days of work.

Then he'll sue them and lose, all while still working for them.
