i've visited 37, i think, every state east of the mighty miss & a handful west. not just airports, but a real connection. we won lifes lottery just being born here. every state offers an exciting adventure & history if you get off your ass & experience it. doesn't have to be big, just a taste of the local experience, life is short. when i retire i want to climb the tallest mtn in every state & catch the state fish. i want to hike the app. trail from maine to ga & i want to hike the western equivelents. don't waste your 30k days:cool:

I've been to 28 states. The West, The South and up the East Coast. We truly do live in a wonderful country. The southwest is my favorite area so far, with its colors and warmth and big skies.

my mom & daughter & now me are huge fans of the von trapps of vermont. it took huge balls to deny hitler & all their austrian neighbors to find a way out....nobody did this back then, most just fell in line with germany, but this talented family found a way to be on the right side of history. my family loves this movie & i gotta admit, its hard to turn the channel.

Love the Sound of Music. Did a tour of the film sites with Mrs. S in Salzburg five years ago.

    Love the States, too. :salute:

All the fuck over Texas (except the Panhandle)... Louisiana... New Mexico (for about 4 hours once)... Arkansas... all over the hell and back of Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Alabama, Illinois, and Ohio. And I've been to Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and a lot of New York.
All in quest of rare records, obscure books, good times, a faster route from here to there and -in my misspent youth, whore mongering.

    Wow. Interesting, man.
You know- I'm kind of ashamed to admit that I've never in my uncertain lifetime ever seen that movie.
