Is it bad that I enjoyed simple work, like selling shit in a store or driving rental cars back, more fun than a "real career job"?
What is a day job vs a real job?
No. One of fave jobs was picking up garbage off the beach.
Just walking up and down the beach at 8am, no worries, working my tan.

Part time jobs or just full time?
Only two full time over the last 20+ years.
My most important job was being a Mom.
I had quite a few part time jobs while my kids were little, to help make ends meet.

first job I was 12 bagging top soil for .25 a bag at the local nursery.

vending popcorn, soda, beer, hot pretzels, at Giants stadium and the arena
packaging hot dogs and cleaning a meat packing plant every day after school
print shop working a linotype machine
went to work for my uncle the plumber at 18.
got into pipe fitting for a chemical construction & engineering company
went back into plumbing for a local small company
quit and went to work for a very big mechanical contracting company where I stayed for almost 20 years before quitting and starting my own business in 2005.
so 10 jobs not including my own business and I'm 50.

I'm 45. Two full time jobs starting when I was 16.
I've had about six moonlighting part time jobs since having my current gig.
