i'm a one or two dogs at a time kind of guy. i had a chow chow and i moved in with a lady who had a german shepherd and a large cat. after a few years going up and down in numbers, i woke up one day and this is what "we" had - 5 (or 6) cats. she went to the pound to get a cat, within 2 weeks... birds - so one day i come home and she has bought 2 male canaries (males sing). within a couple months, we had a few canaries, male and female, finches, a few cockateals and a parrot. my gf would wake up very early in the morning and i'd sleep until 9 or later. the fucking birds would all wake up at sunrise and start singing and chirping and i'd beg her to shut them up. she would laugh at me. fish - 2 tanks, 30 gallons each. lots of fish. fresh water thank god. dogs - my chow, her GS and a new GS. it was kind of fun for awhile but we trimmed the cat population down to 2 and most of the canaries went to friends. she was my favorite GF and i miss her still but i will never own another bird! noisy bastards! so what was your highest number of pets (not counting domestic livestock etc.)?
