Follow up question: Was it worth it?
I want to get married in Vegas by Elvis.
Few grand got married in Vegas by elvis
Including ten years of misery plus the divorce? It cost me quite a bit, looking back.
34 years ago this month, I have no clue.
We cancelled and lost the deposit for our big wedding. Got married in Vegas, instead..maybe 2 grand including my bouquet and a photographer
My in laws came and looking back would've preferred to get married just us
ABout 25 grand when all was said and done. God damn Caterer was the most expensive part 10 grand just for that, cause my wife is not a small woman.
Father in Law kicked in about 7 grand I think
it was priceless
Which one?....They got cheaper as I became wiser
Our 25th anniversary was this past January. Our wedding was fairly inexpensive, because a) I was never one of those girls who dreamed of the big princess wedding, and b) I am pretty frugal.
My wedding dress came off the clearance rack at the bridal shop (it was $300) as did my bridesmaids' dresses (they were only $35!!)
We didn't plan to spend money on a limo, but we were gifted one at our shower. We weren't going to take a honeymoon, either, then my parents surprised us the night before the wedding with tickets to Las Vegas. My dad had a friend who owned a print shop, so we got a nice discount on our invitations. He also had a friend who owned a bakery, so our cake was almost free.
I think all together, our wedding was only about 9 grand. Not too bad, right?
Oh, and I forgot to mention that my mother made my veil and did all the flowers
Typical wedding in the northeast is $100k
Cheaper than the divorce.
Think my first was about 8k, second was 20k. First was more fun.
It was about $10,000, my wife did all the work, I showed up drunk. Next day took a week long cruise. Would have preferred a JP wedding and then go on the cruise with $10,000. I think we would have had a better time.
I guess you guys got married in the 70's
Did I mention I was 12 when I got married?
Go ahead, rip on my 90's poofy hair, and even poofier sleeves....
Elizabeth was a beautiful lady, you cheap son of a bitch!
