HSS related because...umm, Howard's cheap?
...2 or 3 dollars usually.
Don't you think that's a little dickish? I mean I do t go 20% but I give em something
20 cents on a $6.80 order
Someone still has to put the box together for you. Make sure all your food is correct
Depends. picking up a pizza = 0. picking up several items like chinese or mexican and the employee goes thru the order I will leave 10%-ish. big knockers always get a tip.
$1 under $20
$2 from $20-40
i've wondered this myself and was hoping i wasn't being a dickhead. if i have some change i might throw it in the tip jar but I almost always pay with debit card and I skip the tip option there. It feels unnecessary.....no one did anything worthy of a tip.
5-10% depending on type of restaurant and amount of food.
It depends on the place, and the problem is, you have no real way of knowing who did what. In some cases, the bartender did nothing other than hand you the bag. In other cases, they were responsible for taking order, getting it from the kitchen, packaging it, etc.
If I'm picking up food, zero. If i sit down and eat my meal at the restaurant, just the standard 15%, unless they do a good job, I'll tip more.
FYI, I think tipping is retarded and shouldn't be expected, it should be because the server did an extra good job and you are tipping them to say thank you. Not just them giving you a drink and now you owe them money.
Zero. Tips are for servers who run around refill your drinks and bus your plates.
PICKING UP!????? uh zero. the fuck did they do? walk it from the kitchen to the front counter? that being said im a very good tipper when they deliver!
but at the deli where they make my hero, i tip $1-2. i been going there since i was like 10.
Picking up absolutely NOTHING and I don't feel bad about it one bit. That's part of the reason I'm picking it up and not eating it there, don't feel like dealing with sitting down and service and tipping. When I DO eat out in the actual restaurant I never leave less than 20% no matter how piss-poor the service.
zero. cant think I have ever had a reason to tip for a pick up
Do people tip guys who pump their gas in the winter?
