Am I right on that, on average a million viewers down from last year?

So how much money did NBC spend on this whole deal... What's Howard's salary? What did it cost to move the show? How much have they spent on advertising?

Any other costs you can think of?

Anyone have any real numbers on any of these?

Didn't they say Howard's salary was $15M? Don't know about the rest.

I would love to know how much they spent on advertising this year compared to last year.

They had a Superbowl add. Those aren't cheap.

Don't forget the cost of litigation to defend the lawsuit Howard Stern will probably file after he leaves the show.

Part of making Howard their whore was also to give NBC an opportunity to push all their other shit shows on the Sirius morning show, however that's also of dubious value at this point.

my husband and i had a disagreement before....he was marveling at how AGT came in at #4 and #7 nationally last week. of course ever the howard basher, i explained that agt ALWAYS gets high #'s and should have done better considering how much money they spent on howard and publicizng the mess. is he correct and how can we continue to spin it as the failure it really is.

yes, it was a very uneventful sunday afternoon here in sunny florida.

They could have put Bubba the Love Sponge in the chair and gotten the same ratings. No promotion needed. No moving the show. Small fraction of Wiggy's paycheck.

NBC needs to hire Tim Sabean so he can initiate a program to set up lots of initiatives. Problem solved.
