Dude comes in on Monday and says he wants to buy a pick up to pull his new boat. He's pretty sure he wants the new EcoBoost 6cyl twin turbo F-150 so our salesman feels him out a bit and asks about the size of his boat and quickly deduces he needs more than a 1/2 ton. Well the guy drives the 6.7 turbo diesel F-350 and he loves it, but he's a bit leery of the price (57k) AND his buddy says a 1/2 ton should be fine. So, off he goes to drive other pick ups before he commits. Fast forward a week and same dude pulls in in a brandy ass new lifted Toyota Tundra and wants the same salesman... long story short, the salesman at Toyota totally assured the guy that the Tundra is a 1/2 ton in name only. He actually told this guy that it will out pull ANY 3/4 ton on the market today and the guys at Ford are trying to fuck him. Turns out they never even asked how big his boat is before they guaranteed his new Toyota could pull the Queen Elizabeth up any hill. IT CAN"T. Dude had to tow his 35ft Nordic up a 15 mile 8000ft grade in 4 low at 7 miles an hour. He traded his shiny new 1 week old Tundra in on that same F-350 (not before towing with it first this time) and he took a $20,000 dollar FUCKING on the trade. The salesman from Toyota refuses to take his calls or speak with him. Anybody want a 'new' Tundra CHEAP? I'd want to take a long look at the fluid in both differentials and the transfer case... but that's just me.
